SDECS Tuning's DME Unlock Service for BMW Controllers

This service is a bench flash unlock for BMW DME controllers made before June 2020 to allow OBD2 tuning.

Unlock your N20, N26, N55, S55, B58, S58, N63 and S63 equipped vehicle's DME!

Many BMW vehicles made before June 2020, have never had a factory DME update and if that is the case, it "SHOULD NOT" need an unlock to be able to flash tune the vehicle's controller via the OBD2 port. The key here is reading the words "SHOULD NOT".. however there are times when the factory has performed an updated and at that can can lock the DME preventing any flashing via the OBD2 port.

A great way to find out if your DME needs to be unlocked is with the MHD app and an appropriate OBD2 device that it can communicate with. Performing the "Unlock Needed Check" is a great step to ensure if your DME does need to be unlocked and if so, we're here to help you!

Special Note:The N63 and S63 engines, which are twin turbo V8's, have 2 DMEs and thus we will need to unlock both DMEs.
